This adorably named Essie polish is my first nail pick for the spring season. It’s described as a ‘pretty yet provocative… sparking, cornflower blue’ - good news here is that there’s no visible sparkle/shimmer when applied (otherwise I’d give it a miss). This mid toned pastel blue-lavender is more of a creme finish when on the nails and is opaque after two coats. It can apply quite streaky at first but this is avoidable once you layer the colour and finish it off with a good top coat.
It's hit or miss with some people as the grey undertones in this polish can make pale hands look a little corpse-like. To me, it also slightly resembles (I hate to say it) those blue plasters you find at work. Nonetheless, I’ve grown to love this unique shade as it can appear either soft and subtle or vivid and vibrant depending on the light. Definitely not your ordinary blue nail polish!
